Pop! What’s Poppin In Pop Culture? Ep2 ft The Vaccines, Tavi Gevinson, Vancouver Street Party

What’s popping in Pop Culture hosted by Mary from Style Sista TV http://StyleSista.ca featuring, The Vaccines, Tavi Gevinson’s Year Book One, and a rockin’ community Street Party at Beaumont Studios in Vancouver, BC. I like to curate things that I love and that I’m into at the moment even if its old, because you never know when you can get turned on to it. Maybe I finally picked up the record and listened to it, or I found a book at the library that made me dive in, or I went to a wicked event that needed to be vlogged. That’s what I do with this show and that is why I created Pop! What’s Poppin in Pop Culture.

The Vaccines a legendary band already. Every album is great in my book. They truly know how to spin a tale and set a mood with their surfy, rock, groovin’ music that’s just so hard to stop playing on my itunes.

Tavi Gevinson well she’s a fascinating young lady. Quoted from Wikipedia,”At the age of twelve because of her fashion blog Style Rookie. By the age of fifteen, she had shifted her focus to pop culture and feminist discussion. Gevinson is the founder and editor-in-chief of the online Rookie Magazine, aimed primarily at teenage girls. In both 2011 and 2012, she appeared on the Forbes 30 Under 30 in Media list.”

And finally a clip from one of Vancouver’s best artist celebration gallery hubs The Beaumont Studios fundraiser street party that went down in their part of East Vancouver. I wanna raise the roof and help these kats get all the funding they need for these guys so they can open the next installment of their creative artist space so please check them out and support their indiegogo campaign right now!

So that wraps up this episode of Pop! What’s Poppin In Pop Culture. Ep2.Thanks for commenting & liking Style Sista TV but especially for being rad cause your here.
